hi·ber·nate [ hbər nàyt ]

1. BIOLOGY pass winter asleep: to be in a sleeplike dormant state over the winter while living off reserves of body fat, with a decrease in body temperature and pulse rate and slower metabolism. Animals that hibernate include bears, bats, and many amphibians.

2. become less active: to become less active, especially by staying at home rather than going out to socialize ( informal humorous )

[Early 19th century. From Latin hibernare , from hiberna “winter quarters,” a noun use of a form of hibernus “wintry.”]

At the moment there's work and sleep. I'm still struggling with getting used to working, that is, working as well as maintaining something resembling a social life.
I could easily be a lady who lunches. I need to get into my old habits of going to the theatre and attending shows. Must get out more.
The worst thing is that I don't get anything read at the moment. I've got plenty of novels hanging around, just waiting to be used, but I just...well, don't.

Advantages of staying in London:
The fashion is diverse and if you can find it, wear it. (And you can almost certainly find it).
Greater access to obscure music
The films premiere earlier and there are quite a few pretty cool festivals
A great choice in theatres, plays and actors
The museums and galleries have massive, gorgeous, rare exhibitions, and small inventive, upcoming shows
Walking under Raymond's Revuebar at the end of an afternoon
Driving in a taxi through the city at four in the morning
The shops are *always* open
It is a multicultural, open-minded city
The weirdest people live here
- And the most glamorous (often they are one and the same)
It's London, for Chrissakes!

Advantages of going home:
Copenhagen is pretty cool
I miss the food
I'll be close to friends and family
I won't have to spend half of my time packing or unpacking my suitcase
It's home

So even though there are more of the London advantages, and they are somehow way cooler, nothing can beat the home-factor. And so, I'm starting to consider a return.

Good news!

Johnny Depp as Rochester!
And no more Kilroy!

Too tired for a proper blog. Don't make sense. Must sleep more. Eat less. Wait for summer.

Highlights of an otherwise cold and wet holiday:

1. Plenty of champagne
2. Loads of good food
3. Penis-necklaces and body-shaped rubber at Danish Design Centre
4. Airport-shopping (ah Chanel!)
5. My boyfriend's pretty and gentle cousin, the former boy-man, who is becoming a man-man and furthermore a pilot.
6. Playing in the snow with a child.
7. Obtaining The Works of Michel Gondry.
8. Getting what I want for Christmas.
9. Seeing 'A Marat' in Bruxelles. And one of Bacon's screaming Popes.
10. Not working.
